Vitamin D

Vitamin D is both a nutrient that we eat and a hormone that our bodies produce.  Low levels can lead to deficiency resulting in poor health and poor sleep quality.

Vitamin D 

-helps to retain and absorb calcium and phosphorus

- strength teeth and bones

-prevents cavities

-essential in good sleep quality

-found in eggs, salmon, tuna canned sardines, fortified milk, spinach, kale, okra


The healthy way to get Vitamin D is from the sun as our bodies produce this hormone naturally from sun exposure. 


Vitamin D supplements can also help to get your levels back on track. Testing blood levels determines how much to supplement.
